The village of Velonades

In the Local Community of Velonades belong the settlements of Kounavades, Livadi and Psathylas. The prime occupation of the inhabitants of the community is olive cultivation and other agricultural activities, but during the summer they provide services for visiting tourists. The local people have preserved the traditions of the area, fro example the famous festival of the Church of the Prophet Elias, which is held on the 20th of July.
